Weddnesday / why

Why Weddnesday exists

An evening of the Bucharest expat meetup, tables full of people talking

Because a conversation should not cost a subscription.

We have been running these evenings since 2010: over 500 meetups, first as the Expats in Romania networking nights, now under our own name. Same room, same idea. Expats, repats and locals, every other Wednesday, in a bar in Bucharest.

Three things we do differently

No membership. There is no fee to join a meetup and no paywall on the guest list. You pay for your own drinks and that is the whole cost.

No Facebook required. Sign in with email or Google, or leave your name and email when you save a place. The WhatsApp group is there if you want it, not because you must.

You decide what people see. Your email is never printed on the public site. In your profile you choose a display name, or hide your name and appear as Member. Only the organizer of the meetup you joined can see who you are.

What it is not

Not a networking event with a speaker and a badge. Not a speed-dating format. Not a room where someone tries to sell you a course. People come, sit down, and talk to the person next to them. That is the entire programme.

If you have been to the meetups before, you know the room. If you have not, read what an evening looks like, then pick a date.
